Any information on Leonardtown; beyond what's offered on the town's website?
Is any area motorcycle friendly? You still have to watch out for the idiots.

Leonardtown is okay. If you buy, you have to pay their town taxes on top of all the other taxes. The townhouses shown in a previous post are really close together. They don't "really" have a water view. The only drawback I can see with Leonardtown is the shopping. They have a grocery store and hardware store, pharmacy, etc., but no Walmart, Target or clothes shopping. Most of that type of shopping is in the California area.

As far back as I can remember I never treated any newcomers as 'illegal aliens" and I was born and raised here,am I proud of what St Mary's Co.has become compared to what I enjoyed years ago ? No, but I don't take it out anyone. If it's any groups fault I would have to say local greedy politicians.

As far as price, I've reviewed the websites shared in a previous post and I'm thinking somewhere between $1500-$2000 is realistic for my expectations.

I'm not a fan of rural living, e.g. no dirt or gravel roads, well water, or looooong drives to shopping. My Army "roughing it" days are over; plus I rather enjoy living in a modern, first-world society. Just kidding.

Thanks again and keep it coming.
Don't know If Chesapeake Beach area would be too far for you but there is a great subdivision called Richfield Station . It is a combonation of nice townhouses and single family homes. It is a well laid out community and a good variety of age groups live there. They do have a nice tennis court and basketball court if that matters or not. That you are single it may be a plus for you to live in that area as they have walk around community of North and chesapeake beach with a boardwalk, nice bars lots of activities and the bay right there! Good luck with your move!

That would be a hell of a commute.
