An hour? And you'd have to cross the bridge. It's a two-lane bridge. If there is an accident or someone breaks down on the bridge, it would take a lot longer. If you decide to live there, best thing you can do is check the forums before you leave work at the end of the day and see if there are any reports of a back-up.

Thanks everyone; please do keep the info coming.
You should check some of the privately owned condos at Wildewood. Very quiet.

Wildewood has covenants. They always suck.

What newspaper serves the area?

FYI...My new company has a real estate company they use to relocate employees. They contacted me the other day; they serve both buyers and renters.
Check the SOMD.com classifieds.

I wanted to clarify the taxes in Leonardtown that was previously posted. The county knocks off a portion of the taxes since residence have to pay the town of Leonardtown taxes. It amounts to about the same thing that other county residents have to pay. I would also like to add that I have found my Leonardtown neighborhood to be a bit snotty and clicky. I wouldn't recommend living here to anyone. When I bought my home, I paid a very reasonable price as did most of my neighbors. However, most of the people behave as if their homes were worth at least five million dollars.

Pride in ownership?
