You guys are all great and put me in a better Christmas spirit. I am not a fan of Christmas for many reasons, but this does help me feel better.

He is too young to understand the true meaning of Christmas, but he does know about Jesus and he says his prayers at night, and we have a lot to be thankful for. This will be the first "real" Christmas he has had in 3 years. Thank you and God Bless all of you!
I've read through this entire thread....shame on some of you, hugs to others. roxy, big hugs to you! I grew up as one of 7 kids (3 of which were cousins that my parents took in after their parents abandoned them). we never had more than one or two gifts a piece, usally gloves and socks (which we needed desparately!) and as we got older, only the younger kids received because they still belived in santa.
one year, we were the recipients of the local VFD toy drive beacuse we were obviously poor and struggling. only being 5 at the time, i didn't know we were poor. I just remember feeling so happy when the firemen came to our house to distribute the box of used toys. my favorite was the book about horses. this is a memory that will never fade along with the memory of the generosity that came to our house that year, something we never asked for, but desperately needed.
I applaud your desire to give your son as wonderful a christmas as you can, and i applaud your courage to ask where to go in your time of need. I applaud you for having a respectable job while raising your son, instead making a career of living off the system, as I have seen so many others do.

i am also a single parent, with no father or family members nearby to help with the daily needs, care, pickups, etc. of a child. i understand the stresses of being an only parent. fortunately for my family, i am financially secure. i hope that you are not insulted by this offer, but in addition to the gifts that everyone is sending for your son, I would like to send $100 so that santa can also leave a christmas gift or two for you to unwrap in front of your son. my son is older now, but always makes sure that his mom is remembered by santa as well. your son is too young to do this for you, but if he's raised surround by compassion and love, I am sure he will grow to do the same, regardless of your financial struggles.
hugs to you...

Everyone here is awesome. I cried this weekend knowing what you all are doing for Tony. My little man is going to be so surprised. My heart goes out to all of you. I hope that some day I am fortunate enough to do this same thing for someone else. If there is anything I can do for any of you (clean your house or whatever), please let me know. Hugs to all of you and God Bless. I hope everyone here has a very Merry Christmas!

There are some folks dropping stuff here at Canter-Lope horse Tack on Wednesday. Some stuff has to be in the Fridge and freezer. Other Items as well, I know BSGal and can drop them off there or Giddy can pick them up on Friday or Sat before I close the store. If anyone else would like to drop things off here that will be fine, and the girls can coordinate a convienent pick up friday or Sat. Merry Christmas to all here on the forums! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday

Robin, if you decide to drop them off at my house and we're not home, there is a fridge on the porch that is practically empty. The freezer is pretty full, but if you stick it in the fridge and I'm not home, I'm sure it will remain frozen until I get home in the evening. Delivery to Roxy will be Saturday at a time to be determined.

No need to cry, even the tears of joy. This is what Christmas is all about.
