So has this place opened yet? Their website is up and running and they have a menu online, but I haven't been by lately to check.

My DH was the 2nd contractor in there, after the 1st one was paid and bailed...MMDad is so right...That place was a complete mess. The budget was so screwed up. The lady in charge finally jumped ship and some other company took over.

It'll be interesting to see what it does, business wise.

As of Wednesday it still wasn't open, however it seems the majority of the building inside is complete and they've installed the security cameras over the back door... the sign says it opens this month.

Heh... it seems I meet or almost meet forumites in the strangest places.

I apparently had lunch with Lusbymom once at Asahi.

Yeah, I was buying my mother's ring... I've only got the one kid and those family jewelery things aren't really made for that, so I was buying myself a somewhat inexpensive yet stylish sapphire ring (since his birthday is in September).

I never understood why people pay contractors up front.

I heard a news story about a home owner who gave a deadbeat $82k UP FRONT. Well guess what happened next?
