I ate there couple of times so far. I can say this, I have spent many years in Korea and this place has the food just like I experienced in Korea, The kimchi is the exact same stuff. I loved it and I reccomend it to every one who likes real korean food. As per Emily, their food is not even in the same zip code as Korean food. I am talking nasty, soy sauce city!!! However, if you like eating greasy food in a dump...than Emily is the right place for you!
I'm glad to read the opinion from someone that actually 'knows' korean food. I'm happy to see Calvert add something with a little diversity. I have been a huge fan of Korean food for years and have had authentic korean many times. I had a friend who's mother actually made kimchee. THe side dishes are usually vegetables with great sauces or vinegar, and normally very low in calories. I love the variety!

I was hoping they woudl open soon and can't wait to try them!

I was excited to hear that a pho restaurant opened in St. Mary's, but after trying it a few times decided it wasn't worth getting excited about after all. The restaurnt was filthy! I went once and found a nice wad of chewed gum in my neatly folded napkin! The tables were always sticky and the decor was cheap! Have they reopended since being shut down a month or so ago?

To all of those knocking the new restaurant, be adventerous!

I remember a time that I absolutely refused to eat any type of ethnic food, and I now would take Korean BBQ over American restaurants like Ruby Tuesday, Applebees, Bob Evans any day!

Has anyone been to Chamnari recently? I went with my family in May and the food was great, but service was terrible. I have family visiting this weekend and would like to go there, but I don't want to wait 30 minutes to get a drink...any info. would be appreciated!

Thanks, I called them today and they said we didn't need a reservation. Hope they aren't "struggling" to keep their doors open, I really liked the food!

Beef Bulgogi is really great! I eat there at least a couple of times a month. They are also open for lunch! Very nice and you have to at least try it once!
You won't regret it...

As for lady who complained about the service, I'm sorry but I have never had slow service. I don't know why it would have taken them 1/2 hour to get your drinks. That has NEVER happened to us.

My Better Half and I have eaten there a couple of times, and have taken out-of-town guests there at least once. It's been an excellent experience every time. Much better than when we took our guest to Jake and Al's. That was so-so at best.
