| What does the stuff inside their ears look like? Does it have a smell? It could be mites or it could be yeast. I can't tell unless I know what we are working with. Let me know ![]()

Try finding some earmite drops at a pet store and see if that helps. I know it works on my mother-in-laws dog. She puts the drops in and rubs the ear to spread them around.

| Yeah in one cat it does have a smell to it but not the other. The inside of the ears are black. Should I take them to the vet?

| I would take them back to the vet and get them checked to make sure they don't have ear infections or yeast problems. I have 2 cats and none of them ever had this problem but they have had wax buildup and the vet cleaned it out. |

Thank-you so much!!!! I never thought of putting medicine on their toes for when they scratch. I am going to go to PetSmart at lunch and try it out over the weekend. Thanks again all!!!

kittyburrito!!!! we had to do that with our older cat several times. just catch the cat unawares, wrap body and pointy bits(i.e. claws) in a thick blanket several times, then commence cleaning. this process is best done by 2 adults, one to hold the "burrito" and one to do the actual cleaning.
