Weren't Tribbles the fuzzy poof ball aliens that continued to re-produce, so the whole ship wound up with about a zillion of them onboard?

And thanks for all of you hijacking my thread and going , as usual.

But I still don't know where to get fresh peaches in St. Mary's or Calvert.
Jazz Lady, I posted the web site for Cherry Hill Farms over on page 1 ... Is that too far away ? ...if you don't feel like picking fresh peaches yourself there , they have a market too with all kinds of fresh fruit , veggies and various canned goodies

It's a bit of a hike from where I'm at (Callaway area). I wish I had all the fruit trees from my old house (well, I still have the old house, but the trees are a bit neglected this year) at my new house so I can pick my own peaches, plums, cherries, apples, Asian pears, etc. again.

Until the trees and bushes are planted this fall, and then have a couple of years to get established and start producing, we're at the mercy of the local farmers for fresh produce.

A coworker/ friend told me the farmers market at the BAE systems parking lot is pretty deserted on saturdays, guess all the rain we had this spring has delayed some crops ? She did mention the farmers market up by Hughesville had a lot of produce to choose from . We've driven by there many times in the year we've lived here but not stopped to see what they have.

If you're talking about the "Amish Market" on northbound 5 in Charlotte Hall, you know, the one that has become a flea market full of cheesy t-shirts and bootleg CD's, very little of the fruit and veggies there are actually grown in So. MD, it's trucked in. The "real" farmer's market is a couple miles south of there at the Charlotte Hall Library at Rts 5 & 6. That one is on the Dept of Agriculture list. You MUST be selling local produce to set up there (It's mostly Amish, but not all).
