We like to stay at The Orleans which is off of the strip. The rooms are a great size, the casino has more room to move around than most on the strip. They have a great free shuttle that will take you to the strip.

When on the strip, Harrah's Carnival Court is a blast to go to. They have flare bartending and free bands. My favorite is Wonderboogie - they dress up in 70's silk outfits and put on a great show.

I know some people that stayed at Hooter's and they really enjoyed it and the rooms were really inexpensive.

All were nice - my next visit I would like to stay at Mandalay Bay or maybe try the new towers that MGM built and go back to that pool!!
We visited most of the hotels to see the casino/decor and I think pretty much any major casino hotel would be ok. Especially if you've never been, you'll be wow'd just to be in Vegas.

The new towers are the signature MGM!!! We are staying there in April!!

If you can afford it stay at the Bellagio or Venetian.

Just got back from Vegas a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the Bellagio. The trip prior to that we stayed at the Venetian.

I also stayed at the MGM last year which was pretty nice as well.

I love the MGM

Last time I stayed there when I was checking in they mentioned that they had a few tickets left for a concert that was going on in one of their arenas... it ended up being The Dixie Chicks, Leann Rimes, Faith Hill, & Shelly Wright (sp) the tickets were $10 so I was expecting nose bleeds however this was going to be a televised concert for one of the country channels and they needed it to look packed even though there were still a lot of seats open so I ended up getting to sit in the 10th row

So if you stay there make sure to ask what concerts/shows they have & if there are any discouted tickets.

I have stayed at the Flamingo 2 times and was pleased. I would stay there again. It's also right in the middle of the strip

I would recommend the MGM grand. It is my favorite hotel on the strip. The Wynn and Balagio are nice but they are a little bit fancy for me. They are nice hotels but they are fancy to the point were everything is prim and proper and not as relaxed of an atmospheres as the MGM.

The Wynn has a very nice golf coarse but at 500 a round It is a little expensive to golf there.

The New York New York hole was a little bit to cheesy for me. It reminded me of Coney island.

You will not be disappointed with the MGM. I found this hotel the most fund and spent more time there than at any other hotel.

If you have a chance take in a show.

We saw Cirque du Soleil "O" and it was simply incredible. Some of the things they do are pretty amazing. Well worth the price of admission.
