Yes, always have something else to do, plus..you'll have to hang out at different places at least for a while so you don't run into them as much.

What's so hard about just telling them the truth? I guess I've reached a point in my life where I have no problem telling people who I don't want to hang with or "be my friend" that their behavior is unacceptable and not welcome in my life.

Not much. It was one of those relationships where you gave up 10 favors a week for half of one in return. That and he was getting back into drug parties.
