Homework Help

Son has a project to do: Chinese Acronyms. Each letter of his first and last name will stand for something about China. He then has to write a 5-7 sentence paragraph about that topic.

Some examples:

K - Kung Fu
T - Tea
G - Great Wall of China

He has a total of 14 letters in his first and last name. We have done 11, but are having problems with the letter U (twice - he has 2 u's) and N.

Any ideas? Some topic ideas are food, people, geography, religion, entertainment, history, government and economy.

He already picked Ramen for R. He insisted on ramen since that is one of his favorite foods. I tried convincing him to do noodles for n and something else for r (maybe rice), but he wouldn't. He's hardheaded.

AH HA! I was on it and didn't even know it!

Umbrellas

These ancient umbrellas or parasols, were first designed to provide shade from the sun. The Chinese were the first to waterproof their umbrellas for use as rain protection. They waxed and lacquered their paper parasols in order to use them for rain.

Who Invented the Umbrella?
