I have no problems with people who wants to smoke. It is thier rights to enjoy the bad habits just like everyone else who want to drink too much sodas, bad fatty food, nail bitings, thumb sucking, drink too much to stay drunk all the time, have 16 cats in thier house that make thier home smell so bad, etc. Everybody have thier rights.
not everyones has thier spelcheckrs, huh?

I agree that it makes no sense....
...but it is one of those common knowledge facts that their are more living ex smokers than there are current smokers. So, it's not a matter of truth, is it?

Yeah, that's true... I know alot of people who quit smoking are now considers as "non-smokers". Some of these people said that it is hard going to places or being around people who smoke without feeling of wanting to smoke a cig. With the smoking ban in effective, these kind of people can go out and enjoy smoke-free places without wanting to "smoke" a cig. It takes a lot of will power not to smoke again after you kicked the habit for many years.

Unless, of course, a one time visit to a bar is a bit anecdotal and doesn't indicate a trend.
So if this is true someone could open a bar in a state w/o a ban and clean up!
See it happening anywhere?

I wonder how a smoker's alternative - were one allowed, of course - would prosper.

And what the effect would be on surrounding establishments.

See, I'd like to see how that little experiment would pan out. Because bar/restaurant owners have ALWAYS had the ability to go non-smoking. There must be a reason they didn't do it.
