I am also sorry for the occupants of the other vehicle, who through no fault of their own are also having to deal with this traumatic episode in their life. I imagine they are wishing they could have done something to avoid this, although they most likely could not have.

Mr. Young will surely be missed. But, maybe, and hopefully I pray, if what I have written in the post above makes just ONE person think an extra moment about the consequence of their actions and take a moment to pause and reflect, then just maybe my callous words may have some benefit. If just ONE person acts in a way that saves their own, and possibly another persons life from the needless suffering, pain, anguish, and remorse that this has caused, it will be worth it.

I do indeed have a heart, and my heart's desire is that not one more person suffer needlessly.

I will continue to keep all those hurt by this in my thoughts and prayers, especially Mr. Young's child.

It's not so much that. If this was truly driver error that put others at risk - drunk, speeding, whatever - Mr. Young would have to take his lumps. I just don't see any call for being self-righteous about something that could literally happen to any of us.
