They can take away your privilege of driving on base. Major PITA if you can't drive on base to get to your job.

If a person racks up enough tickets it can happen out in town as well.
This is what needs to start happening take away their driveing privileges. And let the fools walk. I was looking on the Bay Net today and their top question is how many people have to die on 235.

True. But the base PTB are much less "forgiving" of traffic violations than the courts are out in town.

Thats funny... I see troopers and deputies on traffic all the time on 235. In fact on the way to work today I saw a trooper and two deputies on traffic on 235. On three different traffic stops. They are out there. Maybe you're not looking hard enough..

Pax River police don't have anything else to do but traffic enforecement. NCIS handle all major crimes. The Master at Arms handle most gate duties. Do you have any idea how many calls for service the police in St. Mary's County handle. Do you have any idea how many tickets a day are written on 235? No you don't. How much more money are you willing to pay, so that you can have police officers soley on 235 24/7? I won't go into the number of police officers on duty at any given time because of safety concerns, but you really don't know what your talking about!

Hmmm.... how do all those cars and trucks get onto pax? Do they fly them in? No. So not only do the County Police and Troopers have to deal with all of those cars, but then the tens of thousands of cars which don't travel on the base.

And here is a little secret for you. At any given time, the base police have as many...if not more officers working than the county does! Did you know that?

Maybe that will answer your question.

I don't know what it is with people on 235. If your not going 20 over the limit your going to get rear ended. I was going 65 (i know that's speeding) but cars were zooming by me today.
