I agree with your way of thinking! BTW, kudos to your child for doing the right thing!

Hubby was able to find the ladies address and took the purse to her sister. Apparently the girl just moved to the area and was going to be starting college at CSM.

Good to hear!!!
I'd have had reservations about leaving a passport with someone else, I think.
Why would you carry all that in your purse!?

I guess the fact that the sister was calling the other sister on the ringing cell phone in the purse, made hubby think it was ok. Also, the sister knew right away that it was her sisters purse (she said "oh my god that is my sisters where is she, is she ok) , could ID the stuff in it and was in full military uniform getting ready to head to work. Hubby didnt have a reason not to trust her. The girl had all that important stuff in her purse because she was on the way to register for college.

A couple of years back I was walkinh thru the grocery store.....and found $120 just lying there on the ground.......It couldn't have been there very long, so I kept an eye on other people in the store.

Sure enough here comes this lady with 2 kids, looking like she had lost $120 worth of grocery money........I said "Excuse me, is something wrong" she replied " I' lost my $120 of grocery money".

The relief and gratitude on her face when I handed over the cash was worth more than anything I could have spent the money on.......

ok, did they at least get a reward? I know if I lost all of that important stuff and all the money, I'd at least give them a Benjamin to go buy some video games or something......

No reward. The sister kept thanking hubby. He said dont thank me, thank the two young men that found it. I think that was a hint
