But will the adults. Which makes me ask this, married with kids, do you always go someplace kid friendly on your once a year vacation, or do you every other yr or so dump the kids and go to someplace without kids.

I second Cunnigham Falls. Real nice area. Also liked Rocky Gap state park.

kids grow up fast.
do it for them while they are young, you have plenty of time for yourself later.

The cabin I rented is in Luray, Va. Only $450 for the week. Overlooks the shenandoah river. Reservations are in July. Hope its as nice as it looks online.

I think Westmoreland State Park has cabins too. Also check out Cherrystone on VA's lower eastern shore

Jellystone luray was nice, lots of activities for the kids, had the cabins, the store, mini golf, Pool, water slide, Pond with paddle boats and catch and release fishing.
about 2.5 hours from DVille, so about 3.5 for y'all down yonder.
I would stay away from anything in Maryland just because I want to see the state realize a serious drop in revenue due to the BS taxes implemented by our ignorant boy governor.

seriously though, Jellystones are killer for the kids.
