Giant and Safeway use to offer more service, better training, and better product..... When Izzy owned it... that's why people would pay a little more to go there....

Having someone load the groceries in your car, get a special cut of meat, or being able to get the best whatever... was worth the extra penny a can or what ever....

Now it's just like the others.... Since the new Giant opened, we have already had 2 items with the wrong price...

People are nice... but they should be nice.... it's part of being in customer service....

This is a lousy time to ask for more benefits... but next month or next year won't be any better... and I understand taking care of a family is what it's really all about...

You know I always here people talking about the prices being so high, but between foodlion and giant I spent the same amount no matter what store. Foodlion is better for processed frozen foods, so if you buy a lot of that crap then it will be cheaper, but if you buy a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables you don't see as big a difference.

"you hear they are trying..." I would think that if you work there and are worried about it you would know what "they" are trying to do...

You hear "they're" taking away your benefits? From whom? What benefits?

I hope the meeting Tuesday will give you more information to make an educated decision.

The Safeway in La Plata has signs out for applications for workers if union management decides to go on strike.

Not good for anyone.
