omg... and here I miss HEB something awful. Then again, the HEB in Abilene was awesome. They had everything; not just Hispanic food.

I shop at the commissary here anyway, so it bothers me not.

HEB in the Woodlands is great. I so miss Randall's and Albertson's. I miss Texas!

Now it's just like the others.... Since the new Giant opened, we have already had 2 items with the wrong price...

People are nice... but they should be nice.... it's part of being in customer service....

This is a lousy time to ask for more benefits... but next month or next year won't be any better... and I understand taking care of a family is what it's really all about...
Sign of the times. No one wants to work for beans and when they're given more they're still the same people.

Good help is hard to find in a grocery store these days.

Some stores are higher on some items, other stores are higher on other items.

It's the same with income. Whether you're making 50,000 or 100,000, you're still going to spend it somewhere.

I'm living east of San Antonio, out in the sticks. I've got to drive 20 miles to get to dusty little Floresville. I'm sure the larger stores in the city are better but the dinky ones out here blow big time.... I miss a decent bakery with artisan breads and a gourmet food section. I'm not a big fan of mexican food at all so all the salsas, beans, tortillas, and assorted oddball nectar drinks leave me rather cold. I'm surprised they don't allow payment in pesos....

Poor bastard... I use to work for Safeway so I know your pain...

Every contract is the same thing, don't worry - your Union will screw - 'er I mean pull through for you! It use to be a great place to work, now the benefits have slowly dissolved to nothing... When I was there in the mid-80's there was no future then, now it is even worse if you are a new hire.

Last time Safeway struck was in the 70's... I would be surprised if it went that far.
