Springified!

Yard is cleaned up, grass is cut and fertilized, weeds are identified and destroyed, and leftover leaves are raked and bagged.

Hostas, violets, asters and even the mums are waking up from their winter naps, the tiger lilies are sprouting, the pansies are rioting, daffodils have been up for weeks, and the tree out front is blossoming nicely.

Why oh why did I leave Maryland? Spring has not yet sprung here in the midwest. Its, of course, raining. I sent hubby to Lowes to stock up on wood for future ark. Its cold, dreary, and to the best of my knowledge the only flowers that are springing up are in garbage bags in the garage waiting for spring. Of course, they are from Md so they think its spring. Id go outside to see if anything is coming up but its too damn cold. My friend has crocus popping up. Yippee.

Sounds great !
Now only if wife and I can shake loose this persistent cold and I can get out ad start the victory garden again !
With the cost of veggies, it is worth the effort !
