Mind you I am not in the private business sector...
I have many students that I have strongly recommended for scholarships & Admissions-never distorted any of my comments, never praised them because of any racial characterisitcs--fulfilling the dream of MLK.

Judged by the content of their character.

My personal struggle is to try to suspend my personal biases when I see negative behavior (typical of one race) and then pass judgement on a whole group.


IF I were a businessman in these economically strenuous times...I would want my employees to go the extra mile to guarrantee future sales---AND positive word of mouth.
THUS...I would be,...um...very careful in who I hire.
and their day-to-day behavior, attitude, friendlyness would be judged.

Didn't Prince complain (back in the 80's hit) that his Boss (Mr McGee) didn't like him because he was "Too leisurely?"

Either way it is prejudiced. If I was an employer and had a lazy white male working for me, does that mean I shouldn't hire any more white males?

I think to judge a kid walking to the bus and imply they'd be a bad employee is pretty lame. People's behavior at work and at home are two different things. I'm sure there are many wonderful, hard-working, motivated employees that are sloppy and lazy at home.

i agree with you, there are good and bad in all races.
all races consist of builders and destroyers, sometimes its easier to throw out the
builders with the destroyers, for some people
