I mean seriously come on... I try to have discussions with people and I say that racism is on the decline and being phased out and then you get people that come out and say things like the stuff we've been hearing on this thread...it's amazing to me. I guess from now on I should say that racism is being consolidated to the ignert..on all sides.

These are also the same people that say affirmative action etc is unfair and not needed.

Naw.. They're not racist..

I for one, believe you should get a job based on WHOEVER is most qualified for the job etc...

But, some people can't even get their foot IN the door because of deep rooted racist beliefs.

So, sure, affirmative action does have it's uses.

yeah i screwed up and got myself in a race convo....

I'm 30, i lived in ohio until i was 19 then moved around a little and settled here at 21. Personally, I've always judged someone by how they acted. If you are a DB it doesn't matter if you are a green DB, i'll let you know.

I see things and hear things of this nature and my brain starts going into shut down because it makes no sense whatsoever...it amazes me how some peoples hamster wheel works.

Moving to the states at a young age was sure an eye opener for me...

No - in this quote of what they're looking for in an employee, race is not mentioned.

So why did he even mention they were 2 different races?

I don't know, but I don't believe he is trying to say he would chose by race but by their motivation or lack there of. In an earlier post of yours I do agree, people in a personal environment will act differently than on a job interview so really his observation has nothing to do with their work ethic.

The old adage: "never judge a book by it's cover," is something that I try to remember each time I see someone that doesn't fit the mold...

I mean, hell, if people didn't know me they'd just think I'm a jock/meathead whatever, and not a software engineer.

There is so much failure in that simple statement...

see this is why you fail at life. oh ho ho. i'll admit that i'm very intelligent and sometimes i just forget that most people are...less so. let me put it to you in a form that you might understand. i'll draw out everything for you since you are incapable of inference.

lets say i see a hornet. welp i see what he looks like. and based on that i know his behavior, see, and so i dont like him because he might sting me and i might die from it. I dont dislike him just becuase of how he looks you fool. I hate him because, by how he looks, i can tell certain things about his behavior.

the same thing goes for these N's. when i can identify them i.e. they are black and they speak in the foreign tongue of 'ebonics' then i know they are more likely than anybody else to pull out a firearm and shoot me based on pure statistics.

theres nobody i love more than a black person who speaks proper english. i see one an say hey! theres someone i could be best friends with. i mean. look at good ol obama. granted he's a democrat but thats a difrferent thread. look at how, if you spoke to him on the phone, you might not know what he looked like. now. lets say you talked to 'lil wayne' on the phone. there are certain things you could deduce:

Legal issues

On July 22, 2007, Lil Wayne was arrested in New York City following a performance at the Beacon Theater. NYPD discovered Wayne and another man smoking marijuana near a tour bus on 61st and Columbus. After taking Wayne into custody, police discovered a pistol on his person, and he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana.[6]

On January 23, 2008, Lil Wayne was arrested alongside two others. His tour bus was stopped by Border Patrol agents near Yuma, Arizona. Lil Wayne had a .44 caliber pistol. A K-9 Unit recovered 105 grams of marijuana (3.7 ounces), almost 29 grams of cocaine (1.02 ounces), 41 grams of Ecstasy (1.05 ounces) and $22,000 dollars in cash[10]. It was released that he has his Concealed Weapons License, completed for the state of Florida; however the power of jurisdiction falls under state ruling, and his legitimacy of possessing a firearm in the state of Florida holds no significance in Arizona. He has since been released on bail of $10,185
