Wow, hadn't heard that. Used to listen all the time myself.

Don and Mike Show Comes to an End

Don Geronimo Retires

They've been talking about for some time now and the time has come...

Don Geronimo has chosen to accelerate his retirement and step down from his current position as co-host of the Don and Mike Show. Co-host Mike O’Meara will continue the show with familiar cast members, Buzz Burbank, Robb Spewak, and Joe Ardinger. Additionally, Beth Ann McBride is returning as Executive Producer of the program and will have an on-air role.

All this week, Buzz and Robb will host a series of retrospective clips, highlighting the programs immense success over the last 20 years.

Meanwhile, Don will return on Friday, April 11 to host a farewell show and thank his legions of listeners for their continued support over the years.

Take the time to post your comments on the forum and read what others have to say as we all say goodbye to the Don & Mike Show and say farewell to retiring Radio God Don Geronimo. WJFK.com :: 106.7 WJFK :: Washington, DC - Don and Mike Show Comes to an End

Don decided to quit. I was under the impression that the show was continuing on without him, but I could be wrong. I think they probably just meant, last show together. I haven't listened in a couple weeks, and they were just playing "best of" stuff last time I tuned in.

Don is leaving. His wife was killed in an accident a few years ago and he has decided to move on. Very sad. I'm going to miss them. Mike will still be on. Don't know who the co-host will be. Tomorrow is their last show together.

They have had some classic Don and Mike from WAVA days on this week leading up to the last show FRIDAY!... Don said back in 2005 when they renewed there contract that this would be his last one and he was going to retire in May of 2008. Love or hate the Don and Mike show they have been on in DC 23 years and are true ICONS!

I was a listener when they started on WAVA, and after they moved to WJFK! Then I moved away in the 90's and had not been back to the area long when Freda was killed. That was so sad.

I have listened to them at times over the years since WAVA, and most the time they really are not funny at all. Especially when they get political, they are pretty much all lefties except Rob.

Mike is funny when doing some impressions, other than that I can't remember them making me laugh.
