went in on tuesday for a stress test, (i had been having chest pains the last two weeks) after 2 minutes on the treadmill and having to take a nitro pill the doctor sent me directly to washington hospital center to admit me. i had a heart catherzation done on wednesday they placed three stents in the left anterior descending artery i came home to rest yesterday and go back in on friday to have two placed in the circumflex arytery. i had never had high blood pressure or high cholesterol but have a long history of heart problems in the family. im doing great just really worn out and bruised up lol!

Glad you are doing well! It's a good thing you didn't wait any longer to get it checked out.

I know someone who's husband just had the same things you had done at Wash. Hosp. Center.....hummm...... I wonder if you are her husband.

well im not sure but i dont think im her husband lol but that could be a storyline for well no nevermind cause that would take another operation all together and im pretty sore now lets pass on that one! lol

...on picking a good doctor, on not ignoring that discomfort, and on going in for the treadmill. The Left Anterior Descending blockages are what use to be called 'The widowmaker' because the most common first symptom was sudden cardiac death. Great work by the catheterization team, sound like.

There will be some significant lifestyle changes in the future but you've got a new start. You might ask your internist about possible blocks in other arteries in you body. I'm am sure he listened to your neck the first visit, but just to be sure....

My father just had three stints put in. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack suddenly and barely got to the hospital in time. Its good to hear you went in before it got as bad as my Dad's...and that yo'ure doing well of course!

Just like Lenny said....you're going to have to take it easier now.
