Downtown Frederick has some good bars with live music. Bentz Street is a sports bar type of place with good food. If you like to shoot pool, go to Hard Times on the Golden Mile. But I'm in my mid-40's so wouldn't know any place for young meat market types to hang out.

I was in Frederick not too long ago. Head to Historic Frederick - there's all kinds of bars scattered all over the place.

If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere - go to Barley & Hops. It's a brewery/restaurant. Both beer and food are good.
