Hello all. I am a newbie to this forum from Fairfax, Virginia, and I have a question about Frederick.

I will be at a donor relations conference at Hood College this weekend and I was wondering what are the key nightspots (ie, clubs, bars) in Frederick?

Why would anyone know anything about Frederick(northern md) in a Southern Maryland forum???

Not sure about any other places, but stay away from Pastimes cafe on Thursday nights. It turns into a swingers club, of course if that is what you are looking for, then go for it

I am clueless. I don't associate with people from that area. I heard they have a lot of nurseries for children or something though.

I can't answer this question because I was living on campus at school for the deaf in Frederick, MD many many moons ago. They don't let us go off campus without permission.

Vrai (owner of this website) used to live in Frederick, so maybe she know some good nightspots.

I've heard that the rock band 'Spinal Tap' have retired now and are growing christmas plants somewhere in that area !

Not even close.

Downtown Frederick has some good bars with live music. Bentz Street is a sports bar type of place with good food. If you like to shoot pool, go to Hard Times on the Golden Mile. But I'm in my mid-40's so wouldn't know any place for young meat market types to hang out.
