Just looked it up on doppler and that is the wildest looking "storm cloud" I've ever seen with an unusual direction from North to direct South. Man made for sure. I vaguely remember chaff from the Navy but mostly chaff was a by -product from harvesting grains on the farm when I was a kid. That kind of chaff could make you itch severe! Hope this chaff doesn't have any bad side effects. Will check DC weather this P.M. for sure. Wanna bet that it won't be noted. Everything's about the Pope's visit.

Shouldn't make you itch as it is basically small pieces of foil (like Christmas Tree tensil) with one end coated/weighted for polarity. The size is so small based on the need of it being optimally effective at 1/2 the wavelength of the radar frequency.

Itching, that's just too much.

What the post in front of you said. Small pieces of foil deployed from an airplane to send a big confusing signal back to enemy radar thereby hiding the plane.

That was probably a National Secret he just gave away. Kidding I think of chaff as tiny particles of floating debris.
