I can't convince you of one thing or another... although census reports will show a fair amount of the American population are practicing Wiccans and other spiritual religions which have typically been associated with witchcraft.

Am I going to tell you that I'm a witch? No. Because the term "witch" conjures up images of Halloween, and old crones with green faces that dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.

Am I going to tell you that I'm more spiritual than I am religious? Yes, and we'll leave it at that.

That's part of the beauty of living in America, I guess... you have your right to believe what it is you want to believe, and the freedom to voice your opinion on it.

I don't agree that kids should be forced to observe the day of silence, but I also don't think they shouldn't be allowed to observe it if they choose.

I don't agree parents should force acceptance down their child's throat, but they also shouldn't force intolerance down their children's throat.

Kids are our legacy, our best link to the future. Your beliefs are passed down to them, and hopefully part of your beliefs stick with them and are passed down to future generations, allowing for social changes between generations, of course.

I disagree with the conservative views on homosexuality, but I'll defend to the death your right to express them in a non-violent manner.

Some people chose not to teach tolerance as much as morals and values.

Depending on what they chose to be their basis for morals and values sculpts them and determines who they and their children become.

I teach my children to embrace diversity, to never judge people for any reason, especially their sexual orientation, and to steer clear of bigots like you.

If the Day of Silence explained the dangers of the gay lifestyle as a safety issue perhaps that would be beneficial. But I guess you would promote ignorance by not having the children educated.
