MBP is "My Brother's Place" and it is a Christian community center. A teen hangout on Friday night and an adult hangout on Saturday night. (Directions to MBP)
The true God is defined as the creator of everything, He is called The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Together they lovingly watch everyone and everything in the hopes that we will all believe in and follow them and learn to live peacefully together. Of course that won't happen but many of us will try to help it happen. Jesus came to earth because He loves you sooo much Fugazi and He was wiilling to die for the things that you did wrong (sins). He hopes that you will follow His guidelines and spend eternity in Heaven with us Christians. This is His love and yet sooo many see it as hate. Are you staying up? If you want to, I will, if not, I'm going to sleep too.

First off, I was raised Catholic but I left them in 1972. I became a Christian in 1989 and do not follow ANY denominational teachings, just the Bible. You know, that love story written to us all.

Dude, why all the hatred? Who treated you so bad in your past that you feel this way? NO, I don't want to watch you burn in hell, that's why I'm still up at this hour talking to you. Jesus chose to take your place and die for your sins because He really loves you. Would you go down to the jail and tell the warden that you want a murderer or child abuser or a rapist set free and you would take their place on death row? Probably not, but Jesus did. That's love and you need some of it NOW.

So Jesus did not die for the murderer, child abuser or rapist? So Jesus just hates gays and people that commit suicide? Aren't we all supposed to be equal?
And I don't feel I possess hatred... I am full of love and I obtained all that love on my own.

He died for everyone, everywhere whether they like it or not. If He hadn't, we would ALL be going to hell together. He gave us the "get out of hell free" card that we couldn't get ourselves. We're all born with love in our hearts. We don't get it on our own, we grow up and learn to hate. Your words seem to show some anger that's why I said what I did. May I ask why you seem to have a dislike for God?

I don't have a dislike for your God! I am angered at people who bring religion into every subject matter and end up contradicting themselves. Just like the subject in this forum on gays. Your book denounces it yet everyone is supposedly created equal. I recently had a 5 year old tell me I was going to hell and down in the darkness for lying. That was because of the religion she is force fed at her christian school. It made me sick to my stomach to hear that coming from a 5 year olds mouth.

Just because you might not understand something doesn't mean it is a contradiction.
Everyone is created equal, they just don't stay that way. Some grow up and make the world a better place and some don't.
As I told Geek earlier, people will always disappoint you. God never will. A person does not go to hell for lying. They go there for not believing in Jesus and what He did for us all on the cross. Even Christians lie at times. This little girl was probably brainwashed by "legalistic" parents. Don't hold it against her.
