IF you had 1/2 a clue as to what "laws" we ignore, you would also know why we do it before you "kirk out" on us, but just for you I'll show you.
3 types of Old Testament laws were made:
Ceremonial laws for religious rituals (we no longer practice most of those rituals so we don't follow those laws anymore).
Civil laws for public behavior, social (non religious) functions, personal grooming, farming, etc. (We do not do many things as they did back then due to advances in our culture, so many of those laws are no longer followed).
Moral laws. (These are the main ones that we need to keep today and always). Homosexuality IS A CHOICE and a sin. Always was, always will be.

EXACTLY!

Please read (Titus 1 vs 16). I've read some of your posts and I see little "Jesus" in them. Many of your statements are contradictory. I'm not judging your salvation but I know how I used to be. I was raised Catholic and "believed" in Jesus while I was sleeping with single & married women, drunk almost weekly and using seriously bad language. I was a good person but I was NO MORE SAVED than the man in the moon! There is a difference between believing in Jesus and being a Christian. Even satan believes in Jesus but he ain"t going to Heaven. "Mominsmc" did not say that good people don't go to Heaven, she said that being good does not get you there. BIG difference. Being "saved" and living the Christian life by believing in the One true Jesus, does. You need to learn the difference between hating the sin and hating the sinner. None of us Christians hate homos but we sure hate what they do, as does God. And we had better speak out against it or else.

People will always disappoint you, God never will. Your beef is with God not just the Catholic church. He said no women pastors and, although I do not agree with much of the CC teachings, they are correct on this one.
"What is so inherently wrong with woman"? (1 Timothy 2 vs 14 and chapter 3). They were decieved according to God and He decided that they should not be pastors or deacons. The CC ideas of what a priest is and what the "mass" represents, are concepts that went away with the death of Christ. Any true Christian is considered a priest of God. (1 Peter 2 vs 4-10)
Why does everything have to be based on religion? You people always bring God in the mix! Why! Are you people that weak not to be able to sustain your own beliefs instead of quoting some book we wrote?

I like taking chances!! I can't live my life worried about some imaginary being coming down on me for making the choices I make in life and the beliefs that I possess. Organized religion is what is tearing this world apart as we speak. I choose to maintain my personal and private spirituality and keep it to myself instead of standing on a soapbox along with the creepy bible thumpers that roam this earth.

Hello young person. We are weak and I prefer not to call it "religion" but I know what you mean. Although many won't admit it, we couldn't live without it. No laws would have been made without it and the world would have destroyed itself with anarchy if God hadn't intervened many times. We need guidance from God or we'll self destruct as you see we are doing right now with wars, gas prices, the 3 stooges running for President, liberals trying to end all laws and let society run "wide open" with no restrictions on it and many more evils that your generation will have to deal with. You obviously cannot see that we cannot "sustain our own beliefs without quoting some book we wrote". That's why.

The world is being destroyed from religion now! The only guidance we need is from ourselves....

Your words should cause you great worry. And, yes, much of the world's organized religions are tearing it apart but you need to realize why. It's because people like you will not follow the true God. You want it your own way and, just as in life, you can't always have it. We can't believe whatever we want and expect it to be ok. That's like going to work and telling the employer "how it will be". Ain't gonna happen.
Is that avatar really you? I might know you from MPB....

Just try believing in yourself.... What is the "true God" and what is MPB? So everyone needs to follow the same cult to end the strife in the world today?
