Well... at least according to one of their captains.

They can bust as many ballz as they would like with their unofficial rules about stats. Officially, MSP does not have quotas as it is not legal according to the state guidelines...but there are certainly technicalities everywhere you look...just like with any organization.

Anything can be made "official" if we're going to change rules behind the scenes.

The captain I refer to did say that "OFFICIALLY" there were no quotas...

But that doesn't mean they're not out "in force" near the end of the month, and every stop "suggests strongly" some version of paper being exchanged.

I got pulled over by the state police coming back from a horse show, he pulled me over for having hay coming out of the back of the trailer - Told me it was a road hazard - Okay hay a "road hazard" - Is rain considered a road hazard too LOL - I wanted to say dude do you know how many horse farms there are in Calvert County - I had my daughter with me and she was trying so hard not to laugh - He gave me a warning then pulled away with his lights and sirens going - So now I make sure my hay is contained in proper bins so its not considered a road hazard anymore

as an ex smoker...i am ashamed to admit for 10 years thats what i did, threw my cig out the car window....BUT november 06 i did get a $30 ticket at the stop light at 301 and marlboro pike. apparently the state trooper was sitting behind me at the light at chrysler and 301 and witnessed me drop my cig, so he lit me up as soon as we left that light and pulled me over in the median, during rush hour... once i got over my initial anger at the 'overzealous' officer....i was very embarrassed. still am.
