Sure do, With my daughter, I also got to pay round trip airfare to the west coast after the X moved across the country.

Wow, thank God hubby didn't have kids with his ex. If anyone would milk it, it would be her. She already got $1000 a month for alimony for 2 years - thank God it's almost over. It was the only way she'd sign the divorce papers (after a year and a half).

Don't get me wrong - I completely agree with child support but the door should swing both ways. Whoever has the kids, the other parent should pay the support for that timeframe (obviously not for weekend visits, but for any decent length of time). As for the airfare, it should be paid by the person who decided to move.

Even being a woman, I'll say this - the guys usually seem to get screwed by dds.

Sorry about not directing the last portion to be just a general statement. Only the first part of my post was directed to your question.

and then she says if you want to see your kid, send a round trip ticket.

Since my first divorce, I've paid over $120,000 in support.
Only $65,000 left to go

... unless it gets raised again

I really feel for you and all the other parents out there in similar situations. Bet you can't wait until your kid turns 18. Or is it 21?

what i did was suspended his child support while he had them for the summer (what was the sence in him paying when i didnt have them). he didnt want me to pay him because he said he could use the money he was saving not sending it to me. so they went to him june, july, and august. then he started paying again in september.
