of course this kid has issues, his parents are effed up as all get out....

that aside, if this kid was in your child's class at school, wouldn't you want to know (they did send out a letter), and wouldn't you think professional counseling might help them to understand that just becasue little joey/julie is crazy, that they dont have to be?

I dont see counseling as a bad thing.

oh and Fodd Critic,
do you know how i know you are gay?
cuz you spend all your time reading and writing about them

American values? Please don't assume that all Americans think the way you do. I certainly don't want to be lumped together with you.

Wouldn't it be easier to send this one kid to counseling to let him know he is indeed a boy rather than the entire third grade to connvince them that he is suddenly a girl?
I'm all for adults doing what they feel is best for them, but kids???? Come on.

a counselor isn't going to try to convince them that he is a girl, they are just going to let the kids know that they dont have to be as effed up as this little boy's parents have made him.
Besides, if he has been in class with them all along, they already know he is mixed up.

They're crazy to try to convince third graders NOT to tease a boy that is suddenly dressing like a girl. Come on, they're third graders! That's what they do. How many of us wouldn't tease some dude that started coming to work in a dress when he used to wear a suit?

they are going to ask the kids to be more polite, but kids will be kids. The emphasis of the counseling will no doubtedly be on the "how do you feel about this" and as i said the "this doesn't mean that everybody is like that" aspects. making sure that the other kids DONT see this as a normal occurance and somehting that is necessarily in their future.

There's only one kind of dish that Foodcritic likes to critique, and that is gay flambe.

Why do all of you just assume that this is some sort of "gay" issue and not a medical procedure due to some physical defect? Perhaps this unfortunate child was born with sexual organs of both sexes, was raised from birth as a boy, but developed more along female lines as he got older. No, let's just assume that everyone has a gay agenda and they're all out to rot the Republic from the inside out. That's the much easier route and uneducated, intolerant people generally take the path of least resistence.
