Just a suggestion....

Where the heck is County and State Highway during this storm? The Fire Departments really can't and shouldn't have to handle all these calls that are going out right now in the area. Are our Commissioners listening to all of this going on?

I agree with you 100%. The fire department should respond to rescue, medical and fire calls, but I am sure that even the state highway workers know how to use a chain saw.

They are all out in this mess. SHA and County can't do anything if there are lines down. If they aren't doing it good enough why don't all the whiners go out there and help.

County and State Highway can not do anything with the power lines, until SMECO or PEPCO have deemed it safe

They aren't out here over in Calvert. Only Fire Departments, and they are swamped. And yes I understand they can't touch the wires, neither can the fire department, but at least grab a chain saw and help with the trees. You are lucky to have them helping your Fire Departments, this happens every time over here in Calvert it's the Volunteer Fire Departments, and that's it.

I know that, I was just talking about the tree across the road calls that don't involve power lines.

Well maybe next time you should clarify Calvert. They can't touch the trees if there are lines down on them. Maybe you should leave the warm and comfort of your home and go help..IMO
