We got the call before we reached that point..left on Pindell and up and over 4 on 258 and back down on 4..still took 2 hours 15 minutes to get to DC this morning.

Was that road okay? I was skeptical about taking it, though I saw plenty of cars taking it. I figured the side roads would be worse.

There were three shopping carts on 235 this am. All on the extreme N. bound lane.

Bus had no problem. I haven't seen the water in the creek at 260 that high in a loooooong time. It was nearly at the street level. I wanted to see Water Street in Upper Marlboro but wasn't on that side of the bus where I could see.

I think the winds last night were pretty bad coming off the Bay. It was just getting light as I left the house this morning, but there was debris everywhere in the yard, on the deck and in the road. As I got closer to PF town center, the debris wasn't as bad.

I saw Water Street, they had a fire truck blocking anyone stupid enough to take that exit with a name like that! It was completely covered, as one would expect!

Good Morning Everyone...........

Didn't know it could rain that hard and long. Hope everyone stayed safe. Power went off for a little while(I was already sleep) but hubby had to wake me up to tell me about it. Kids are home getting their 2 hour delay sleep in.

myfoxdc.com says ...

... no flood warning for Charles County, just everyone else. I looked up NOAA to be sure, turns out it's . Charles County is still under a flood warning.

Oops again. i just reread this and I meant MY huband, not the neighbors husband. I would have felt horrible if they had to clean it up (although my husband said it was not much, a few soda bottles, other stuff from cleaning out the car. There were no actual bags in it yet)
