| On a related note: My buddy was telling me they ran an accident one night and the driver was ejected and laying on the road. PGFD is first on the scene and they run over to the guy that is just about dead (he did die minutes later) they roll him over and he has a handgun stuffed in his pants. The Lt. pulls it out of his pants and throws it in the fire truck. Minutes later the police show up and the Lt. tells them, "he had a handgun in his pants, I put it in the fire truck". When the cop goes to get the gun it is not there. One of the good young Christian boys in the crowd had gone in the fire truck in that few minutes they were working the accident victim and stole it. That is PG County for you.

| Yep, like him! The sad thing is, that's not as uncommon as one might think. I got quite an eyeopener - 3rd graders who can drive, who smoke weed, even have sex. I'm sure most of those kids we "babysat" in school are either in jail or dead from gang violence by now. I haven't worked with kids since 1998. After 6 years, I realized I didn't have the patience to deal with all the bs anymore and changed careers. |

The amazing thing is that I grew up there and when I was a kid we would just walk all around Upper Marlboro. My house was really close to School House Pond and we would just have fun and play on our street and walk wherever we felt like with no fear... NOW... I had to move all the way to BFE St. Marys co. ( Which I love now ) to get away from it all... and now its creeping into Waldorf... UGH I just dont understand why people are that way | |

| This was on Fox 5 News last night and according to them he was a rather well known car thief in that area and also had a record for domestic violence, among other things. They have video up on their web site: MyFox Washington DC | Suspect Shot, Killed After Chase It's a shame that someone will try to make money off this, but I back the police officers 100%. If the officers feel their life is at risk, they need to protect themselves first. If you are doing something wrong to begin with and then not listening to what the police officers are telling you to do, then you deserve whatever happens to you... dumba$$. ![]() |

| Let me throw something in the mix... This is more than a "Justified" shoot. You unfortunately have... Officers who will relive those events time & time again trying to assure themselves they did the right thing. Even waking them up at night... Internal investigations, accusations, denials, and an extensive report...while the cops drive a desk for the next couple months. In many cases, a civil suit will follow that the county (us tax payers) have to work through the court system with hearings, appeals, and possible a settlement out of court into the millions of $$$. So,...although I appreciate a QUICK application of justice, sadly there is a lot of baggage that follows for months if not years ahead. Will the officers err toward hesitation next time a situation comes up???
