Good job! Here is what I have found so far:
Sirocco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That isn't the spelling they used, but I suspect it's just a different langauge.
Levantades: Gales blowing from between north-northeast and east-northeast from the east coast of Spain. These gales are generally associated with slow-moving depressions (lows) crossing the Mediterranean between France and Algeria. They blow most frequently in spring (February to May) and autumn (October to December).

Do we actually get many of these in L-town?

Here are the words.

Africus,Ostra, Syroco, Levante, Greco, Tramontana.
Classical names of the 8 wind directions:

Wind Rose

Quote:
The eight so-called rhumbs known to Mediterranean sailors in modern Italian (notice that these latter names match the initials around the wind rose itself, except for the Levant to the East, which is indicated by a cross)
