I also talked to the "coach" of your daughters team and he said that your kids are "independant like that"....I haven't a clue what this means but, the way that man looked at me, told me that it isn't the first time you have done this....that "coach" isn't a babysitter and they tell you that at the first practice

I will be watching for you and your children next Monday....You now have my first and only warning that if you leave your son(6) and daughter(I'm assuming 9 and her name was Holly) alone again at practice, I will have you arrested for child abandonment....You "sir" are an absolute Peice of Crap

So when you returned the boy to the coach, the father still was not there. You will have to post on Monday, and let us know what happens., This is just the type of person that would confront you, as if you were the one who was wrong. POS. UFB

Well, I used to, but then my son got older and saw what an azzwipe his father is and now feels the same way I do. But, I am still nice to "it" so to keep peace for my son's sake.

Do you need back-up? You know I'd be there in a heartbeat. That is WAY too young to drop a kid off and leave. Next thing you know, the kid will get into your yard, have an accident in your pool, and the parents will be filing a lawsuit against you. Be careful, 1bdz. Glad you were watching out for the little guy and gal.

A parent did this a few years ago when CLeValley was coaching my oldest sons baseball team. She dropped him off and told him she would pick him back up when she was done shopping. Needless to say about 15 minutes into the game, the boy was hit in the mouth with a ball. No one could do anything other than basic medical to the boy. Several people tried to call the kids parents and the number had been changed and a current one not given to the coaches. We had to call a Medic Unit for him just so he could get some treatment while waiting on the mom. I never left my kids while they were playing sports. I would sit and read while they were at practice and sometimes I would even go on the field with them.

He will be 16 in Sept. His father is a pathelogical liar and he had come to me and asked me if I ever noticed how his dad lies all the time. That's when I explained to him that sometimes there are people that do that to make themselves look more important and that it is somewhat of an illness and they don't even realize they are doing it after a while. I tried to make it sound like his father had no clue that he was as bad as he is. But you know, I can only cover his butt so much.

I really think you should have called the police on this matter. You shouldn't have to confront this guy, who knows what his reaction might be...but this child could have been injured, kidnapped, killed. That is not just a contact the dad matter. This child was put into a dire predicament and he needs protection. He is lucky that someone helpful found him and brought him to where he belonged. It just screams extreme negligence to me.
