OMG! I do believe this, it happens all the time. We confront them and the parents don't care and it's not your problem, it is our problem, we need to look out for the kids, whose parents chose not to take care of them. This matter should have been turned over to CPS and local police dept. Do not hesitate to have those numbers in your cell phone. Shady Mile Road is a dangerous road anyway, it's like having MRI races in your front road and will only get worse when the new housing project goes it with all the house/townhomes and banks and resturants. HOWEVER, it's sounds like you have enough names to still call CPS/Police, don't let it wait for the next practice, the little one needs to be saved now before something happens!

Get out your torches and pitchforks, folks!

I used to leave my kids at soccer and karate all the time. It wasn't required that I be there, so I frequently took the opportunity to go grocery shopping while the kids were occupied.

Some of you folks are awfully hot to snatch peoples' kids from them. Then what will you do with them? Are YOU going to take them in and raise them?

Of course not. They're going to let the Nanny State take care of them with my money and let the kid become another lost, confused soul at the hands of DJS.

This is also the type of person who would be crying on the news when their child comes up missing and wonder why it happened to them.

In this day and age you need to participate in your child's life, all they want from a parent is their love and their time. And these are the most precious things anyone has to give.

There used to be a commercial on TV where a little girl was doing things and saying "Watch this daddy..." and she grows older each time, and then the last time she's lighting up a joint. And it says, if you don't watch your kids, someone else will.

who said anything about snatching kids away? children need to be protected, if a parent isn't doing what needs to be done then something needs to be said. If a parent is being negligent they have a chance to amend their behavior.

I think the witch hunt comments and comments such as the one quoted here are inflammatory and trollish.

Who bears the responsibility when said child is injured or worse due to them not being attended. Can one just drop their 6 yr old child off any place they feel like?

If a parent gets permission from the coach or other responsible adult to leave the child in their care then that adult would be the responsible.

If said child was to be injured I'm sure the parent would turn around and sue someone else...who will be paying that?
