| First of all, don't fault the rest of us for DOING SOMETHING WITH OUR LIVES! You fault our ancestors for bringing you here, the county, the man holding you down. Give me a break! Maybe instead of sitting on here running your mouth, you should be out there looking for a job! My bet is you sleep until noon then rummage through the classifieds. Go back to sleep, then maybe at the end of the day send out a resume or two and wonder why you do not get called back. As far as the people I know on this forum, through reading their threads, I don't see where ANY OF THEM came with a silverspoon in their mouth and that includes me. Do I have a good paying job now? YES IN COLLEGE PARK where I have already managed to acquire 40,000 miles on my car in one year just travelling back and forth but that is what I am willing to do in order to get paid what I need to get paid to pay my bills...what are you willing to do? I got married when I was 19. My husband already had a 3 year old son, we had a daughter before I was 21 and we JUST FOUND OUT this past August that he had a 16 year old son he knew nothing about, so talk about unfair but guess what? I didn't let it hold me down, we NOW HAVE CUSTODY of that 16 year old boy!!!! When we got married, we were poor. My husband was just starting out in the counstruction field making $8.50 an hour and paying $250 of that out a month in child support. I could not afford daycare for my daughter to go to work so instead of saying "well I just won't work" I became a daycare provider. I became a nanny during the week, took my kids with me. At night I worked at either Toys R Us or KB Toys making barely minimum wage, and on weekends, I watched another set of kids for a lady who was a nurse. That was what I was willing to do. We lived in a run down trailer in a trailer park in Anne Arundel County for 10 years until we finally could afford to buy a house and we bought it in Calvert where we live now. Its not about where you came from or how you got here its about what you are willing to do to get to where you want to be so QUIT CRYING! We had alot of setbacks over the years and now we both make a good living and due to having 3 kids and the responsibilty of a home etc, we still are not rich and at times it is a struggle! My bet is you have no bills and live with family beacuse if you lived on your own and had bills, you would be looking a little bit harder to find a job and would take ANY job that came your way to pay your bills. I'm proud of those humble beginings. They taught me that I will do WHATEVER it takes to make sure that my kids are taken care of. They taught me strength. THey make me appreciate what I have now. Everything is a stepping stone in life, its up to you to decide if you are going to follow those stepping stones up the hill to your dreams or if you are going to take the easy way out and follow them back down the hill to a path that leads nowhere. SO QUIT CRYING! Last edited by sinwagon : 06-06-2008 at 10:50 AM. |

| That in its self is scary enough. They try to run this country and now we have idiots like the one that started this thread that wants to move into our redneck southern counties and take over with their low-life, welfare surviving, shot-em-up selves. Hey you...can us "whities" that have good-paying jobs put up signs around the southern counties that says "African American Day"...didn't think so. Your lazy azz would be running to the NAACP. |

| I take it I'm not the only one who thinks this guy is a troll. Calvert is essentially an "exurb" of DC. You know what- if you don't drive we do actually have buses down here. Runs all over Lusby and up to the PF shopping centers, hospital, and the industrial park.

I suspect the same about some of those posting in the religion forum, and some of those that start the homosexual threads.
