A lot of folks started working in this area AFTER getting 50 years of experience in the Navy. (0r one of the lesser branches of the military)

The Navy has a saying, "A bytching sailor is a happy sailor."
Based on that, I think you'd make a wonderful sailor, call your recruiter today.

Its a matter of how bad you want something, and will you work for it? There are a lot of good jobs out there and in the surrounding areas, but they will require a good education and/or experience.

I want to be a black female Vietnam veteran with a disable.

Figure that ought to be worth about $200k a year just to show up.

I live in Calvert County, my job is 10 minutes from my house, I make very good money. Maybe you should look a little harder.

I moved from PG to Calvert cause my parents wanted us to go to a better school. I met my husband here in Calvert and we moved away for 9 years due to the Army. We knew we were moving back to Calvert cause of the schools, jobs, family, and the country! I love how laid back it is and let them be "rednecks", but they are the most friendly ones to have around! My husband has a great job and im working here locally and love it. I never had a problem finding a good job. I think you need to be positive about things and just look. Also, dude life is too short to be complianing about the little things in life! Theres so much crap going on in this world and we have lost too many people. Be happy where you are and try to find happiness somewhere. If you are just having a bad day and needed to rant just let us know and move on. People do have bad days and need to rant to someone who will listen!

OP's rant is very similar to the random person who complains that the classifieds are IMPOSSIBLE to use, although thousands of people manage to do it successfully every day.

If you look around Calvert County, you see large homes, nice vehicles, people frequenting the restaurants and buying furniture. So obviously *someone* in Calvert has managed to find a good paying job.
