Google and the search function on this site are quite useful tools. There are plenty of houses for sale and rent. Every different area around here has something "bad" "wrong" with it.

Is he stationed at PAX? I lot of where you'd want to go depends on if you like to be near shopping or do you like more rural? Do you want to be close to his work or does he not mind a bit of a commute? Since you run a daycare, you probably want to be located near major commutung routes so customers don't have to go too far out of there way in order to droop/pick up their kids each day.

On average, Child care providers in Southern Maryland make more money in Waldorf than anywhere else in the tri-county area. Calvert and Charles County providers make more than St. Mary's, although I'm not sure who makes the most, Calvert or Charles. In St. Mary's providers make more money the closer they are to PAX. However, you will probably end up paying more to live in the areas where you can make more money.

Where is his duty station? That will narrow it down to tell you best commuting options... I mean if he is stationed at Bolling AFB you would not want to live in Lexington Park.

Perfer City area, more to do and more options. However, perfer to be in a good family area as well.
