The sound problem is not my TV..........sony playstation works with sound just fine on that set. The problem is the digital cable box.

You still haven't elimanted the TV yet. It sounds like a software issue with the tv. Can you run the audio to a stereo w/o using the tv for audio?

Dayem do you work for Comcast..........LOL

There is nothing wrong with my TV........when they replaced the digital box the second time everything was fine until a couple of days ago.....but they keep replacing the digital box with old used boxes, so what does that tell you. The sound works with the playstation which is telling me that the sound problem is with Comcasts pos digital boxes..............

No, I don't work for Comcast. LOL

It just doesn't seem right that the every cable box on that specific TV in your house on that connection doesn't work.

What model TV do you have?

The tv is a samsung 50 inch DLP HD. Every tv in the house has it's own box but the box on this tv with the sound issues has a digital cable box, the other boxs are just the regular ole cable boxes, cable in, cable out......

Thumbs down comcast

I can believe your promblems with Comcast.
I've been fighting with them for the last 2 months.
T.V picture was breaking up to the point you could not watch it , call comcast they send out a Tech, who says we need a new drop.He is suppose to put in the order .I have to keep calling. They finally send out the construction crew that says we don't need a new drop the main cable needs to be replaced, and the owner would not let them dig.I e-mail v.p of customer affairs (for lack of better word), and start the whole thing over. Finally had the construction crew out a week ago Fri. replaced the main cable, thought that would be the end but no! Still waiting to be connected.
I don"t have my on demand and some other channels and to get T.V at all we are not connect to the converter box.
Nobody at Comcast knows how to communicate. They do not know what the person before them has said or did. So we wait and I make calls
