What is the major newspaper for Southern MD?
I have located the three newspapers (The Independent, The Enterprise, The Recorder) for Southern MD. Can anyone tell me which is your MAIN newspaper or if all are????

In all seriousness, each is the main paper for each of the tri-counties...

The Enterprise is for St. Mary's
The Recorder is for Calvert or Charles (can't remember which one)
The Independent is for Charles or Calvert (can't remember which one)

It depends where you live, Independent mainly Charles, Enterprise mainly St. Marys and the Recorder is Calvert, all owned by same company comes out 2 times a week.
For major paper, you have the Washington Post, the Washington Times (which seems to be getting smaller and smaller) and alot of people in Southern Maryland get the Baltimore Sun.

You don't need a paper if you are on the forums.

Save your money. You'll get the headlines here 2 or 3 days before you'll see it in any paper, and a week or two before you'll hear about it on the local radio station.

I enjoy sitting and ready away from the computer. Planning to relocate towards the end of the year and would like to get a jump on what happens and what is available in the area.
I appreciate the info. I've just subscribed to the Enterprise for the time being.
