They make the waitresses wear really short shorts, and skimpy tight tshirts? The times I've been to a Hooter's, none of the staff looked like they were beeing "made" to do anything. Service is great, food is always good, and the waitresses are always friendly and professional. There's nothing indecent that goes on at a Hooter's restaurant. If someone doesn't like it, don't eat there. It's the holly rollers who think they know better than the rest of us.

I have a problem with a complex being built there. Not that I wouldn't like to have an Olive Garden and some other decent places, but the spot is right between 2 established long time residential housing areas. And this isn't a "NIMBY" thing, either. I just see down side to it. With restaurants comes trash. With trash comes vermin and dumpsters being unloaded at 3am. Property values immediately adjacent will fall. If you were able to see what's left of the stars, forget it. The light pollution will be worse than ever. Think about the traffic between 4-6 PM as everyone heads to the bridge now. Then think of the traffic with a new complex making it even worse.

Yeah, call me Eeyore.

The waitresses that work there can work ANYWhere else and be a waitress and not have to wear the shorts and shirts..

Why do you think they CHOOSE to work there, and not say Ruby Tuesday?

Better pay?

Better Benefits?

Better clientele (better tips)?

There was a topless coffee shop in Portland ME, and the iceprincess of a reporter came in to do a story.. asked how the waitress could demean herself, and LET herself be taken advantage of..

She replied..

I'm not being taken advantage of, the person that comes in here and pays $8 for an 8 oz copy of coffee is.

I would bet that woman was the best paid coffee shop waitress in Portland, but I'm sure the tight asses made sure she didn't get paid that well for long.
