Accident on Broomes Island Road

Does anyone know anything about the accident that happened on Broomes Island Road this evening. It was a single vehicle accident into a pole. TIA

I heard a little about it on the scanner earlier this evening but was not able to sit and listen to it closely.
Single car/single occupant was trapped and unconcious at the time I heard it.

It also involved a telephone pole and live wires around it.
Trooper 7 was not able to fly at that time due to the weather conditions.

I was listening to the scanner, (trying to at least with all the calls) this came out as a 16 year old driving with a learners. It was pretty busy, didn't get all the details, but I do know this person was critical enough to be a priority one being driven to PG Trauma by Ambulance because the helicopter couldn't fly. Prayers to the families involved with this tragic accident.

Hey, great job on being ignorant!!

I knew there would be a thread on this so I will shed some light. The driver involved was my little sister. Correct, she was 16, but she has her provisionals, not learners. I have been here at Washington Hospital for the past 12-14 hours without sleep with my parents. She was coming around the corner infront of the funeral home and hydroplaned, spun out, went into the grass and hit a pole (Catch that, Soulja?).
They had to cut her out and transport her to Calvert Memorial. They got her hooked up to the machines there. The original plan was to transport her to PG Hospital but decided it was better for her to come here at Washington (thank God). She is in very critical condition, but yet she is stable. She suffered head trauma and has internal bleeding and are soon going to have to put a bolt in her head to relieve the pressure from the brain. They are keeping track of her breating (she is on a machine) because her left lung has a small collapse. She also suffered a fractured pelvis (very minor fracture), fractured wrists, and had to be stiched up in various spots, as well as bruising on her chest. She was unconscious at the scene and she is very heavily sedated and still unconscious. Luckily, she was still breating at the time of the crash. No alcohol involved and she was not on her phone (forgot it at the house). The troopers said speed really was not a factor.

Please pray for her. My little sister means the world to me and she is way too young. I have been able to go in and see her and it breaks my heart.
