Private place to see Solomons fireworks on July 4?

Suppose I wanted to treat my better half to a special July 4th. Is there any creeks we could canoe while still being able to see the fireworks in Solomons from a distance? Or any place we could at least tailgate? I am looking to have privacy while still being able to see the fireworks. Your ideas would be helpful.

They have them in the mouth of the Pax river now. You'd have to paddle there (no privacy). Maybe you could find a hole near Drum Point but you'd be a fool to paddle out there (or on the Pax) at night.

Privacy so you can give that better half your own version of fireworks?

I need to learn that canoe trick.

The wife and I are planning to park at the Food Lion in Solomon's then bike down to the point on the island we went to last year (near the Environmental Research Lab). No worries about parking/walking/etc. We had a great view from our sopt last year, but spent two hours getting out of the parking lot across from the Calvert Marine museum.

I used to hop a boat from Town Creek Marina so I could catch the fireworks. I'm too old to do that anymore

Have you considered chartering a boat?

That's a possibility, but probably will cost more than I have available to spend.
