I would go with the navy. But then again the military is not for everyone. I went to college for 4 years and joined the navy as a civilian as an engineer and I love it so far.

Well CSM easily transfers to the University of Maryland and its cheaper to go to CSM (as a start) plus I did not take the SAT or ACT why? just haven't had the time.

My only advice for you would not to go to the navy just for a free education. We are still in a war that will probably will go on for a long time and even though I don't know exactly what the navy is doing in it but I think first and foremost people should be willing to protect our great nation if they are going to join the military.

Eh - that's Army and Marines you're thinking of. All the Navy does is give them a ride.

True.. however the navy sailors DO NOT get shot at like the marines or army who I really do commend them for that they put there lives on the line. I personally do not wish to be shot at in Iraq.

If you don't have the time for simple test that are a few hours long, how are you going to have time for school? Yes, CSM is a good start, but is completely different from a 4 year university.

I can do push ups fine... however I have always had a problem doing pull ups (even the wimpy girly way ) That is what I am working on @ the gym now I want to be able to do 25 regular pull ups

Ships have gotten shot at before, and recently. More importantly you have to watch yourself when you wonder off when you get into a port overseas.

Do you think Marine's prefer to get shot at? No one wants to. I didn't but when I signed on for 2 tours in the Corps I knew that it could happen and I was ready and was good to go when called upon and I did what I had to do. If you are not prepared to pick up a rifle in any service then my suggestion to you is to stay out of any branch of service.

Its not for everyone and based on some of your comments, you are not striking me as the kind of guy that is not willing to fight for the red, white and blue. Not knocking you for it. Maybe its not you and thats okay. Good luck with it.

If I am wrong and you have a career field in mind, if you join and get a related job in the service then you will be miles ahead of everyone because you would already have the work experience.
