Since my cell contract with Verizon is up, I can now get out of it.
My plans were to drop my phone since I have used it for a total of 10 minutes in the last 4 months, drop my wifes phone since she carries a work phone that she can use, and just leave my daughters phone on.

I was going to get her one of those phones that do everything, not the chocolate, but the a new one that does more. I think its called the Venus or anus or something like that.

I was going to get one of those pre loaded phones and use it. I figure at my current rate, 100 minutes of air time would last me well over a year.

Radio shack has one of the phones I mentioned for me.
Over the phone is a sign that says
10 cent per minute with x number of purchased minutes
07 cent per minute with x number of minutes
03 cent per minute to mexico.

the sales person at the radio shack assured me that there was no way to get 03 cent per minute for in country calls.

I refused to purchase anything.

What has gone so wrong in this country as to have to press 1 for english, search instruction books for the english section, pay over 2 to 3 times the amount for phone that one of the filty illegals pay.

We need a new independence day, one that marks the day we grew some balls and took this country back.

How about Americans taking it back from the filthy little border jumpers.
the ones that take down our flag and put the bean flag over top of it
the ones that picket our government to give them benefits that they dont qualify for because of their status.
the politicians that are so worried about loosing the vote of the illegal that they refuse to shut our border or deport the illegals when they are caught.
the officials that will stand there and make claim that Maryland is a sanctuary state for the illegals, give them license to drive, give our tax dollar to their illegal help centers, give them medical and housing and assistance, the whole time they are arresting and destroying the lives of business men that hire one of them.

I like the majority of people on here did a stay or are doing a stay in the military with the intent of maintaining the constitution of this country, it is a slap in the face to have served only to see the country being given away.

I understand your point. My husband served in the military as well as most of my family and his. The thing I do not understand is was this country not built on those coming from other countries? I do not agree with those that come here that desecreate our flag. I do however feel that since this country was built from people of other countries why should we stop anyone from coming here?

that includes learning our form of government, learning english, paying taxes, not sucking off of assitance, not committing crimes (jumping the border is a federal offense) dont expect me to learn your bean eating language just to communicate with you. dont jump the border then raise your filthy flag claiming this as your land.

the vast majority of those coming over here did so with the intention of becoming American, they worked hard, they contributed, they learned the language. they became american with pride.

We have those that were born and raised here that live off of the government instead of getting a job. We have those that work and do not pay taxes. While I believe that people should learn English in order to be in this country, how many people bother to learn another language before visiting another country? I do not see how we can condem a whole race for the actions of some. And that is what happens. I understand that your point of view is against those who are coming to our country and shunning it, but most people don't stop to get to know the people behind the skin when they see someone that is of Hispanic descent.


Most of what the things that the people do that you hate them over, we have those that were born and raised in this country that do the same things. Where are we supposed to send them?

Have you decided what cell phone you are gonna go with? Most prepaid services require you to add minutes every so often to keep your service contract, even if you still have minutes on your phone. Verizon I know has three prepaid plans. The one I have takes $.99 a day and all of your calls to those that are on Verizon network you do not get charged for other than the $.99. Then they have one that takes I believe $1.99, and one takes $2.99 a day. I am not sure how those work though.

the phones Im looking at get loaded with minutes. You can buy 100, 500 or 1000 minutes. there is no daily fee. when the minutes are gone, you either throw away the phone or you buy new minutes.

for the use I give a phone it is not worth paying a monthly fee to hold it in my pocket.
think about this.
I have a phone at work, a phone at home, my truck has built in hands free with the onstar system.
in reality, other than when Im maybe camping and the truck is off, when else would it be good to be able to be contacted?

LOL. Yea we have OnStar just do not have it turned on right now. I told my husband with all the traveling we do that we need to have it turned on because if we are in an area where we have no way of using the cell then we can still use OnStar in an emergency.
