How hard is it to throw trash away in a trash can?
My wife always gets pissed when she goes to get in my truck and the passenger floor is filled with trash, I still won't throw it out the window though, so she can clean it up or hush up till I do.

Yeah, it always kills me how MD doesn't make recycling a madatory law....in WA state they paid you to recycle.

In fact, no charge for the bins to place the recyled items in (you had 3...one for plastic, one for cans, and one for paper) & you got $$ for what you put into them.

It was seond nature to recyle there.

In SOMD it's a pain in the azz, but we (our household) are trying to get better. sometimes it's hard to do it without 'incentives', but it is the right thing to do.

They did not pay you, they just gave some of YOUR money back to you.

It seems quite a few places I went this weekend people had thrown trash out their windows or just plain dumped stuff. Who do they think is suppose to pick up after them? It just burns me up they are too cheap or lazy to go to the landfill. What are your thoughts??
Ever drove along 249? That road is the landfill for most people.

I think since they put in the "co-mingled recyclables" bins in at the transfer stations more people have started recycling because it is easier not to have to seperate the different items.
