Bike Trails

Are there any good bike trails in St. Mary's? I've ridden the St. Mary's Lake trail before and I enjoyed it. I'm just looking for more options.

There are some trails down in Myrtle Point Woods, right on the Patuxent River. Also, there are some down by St. Mary's College.

If you hear of any mountain bike clubs / org. let me know. (not that its a big sport in this area) but me and a couple friends are loving our new mountain bikes unfortunately we do stupid road trips that are 40+ miles long. (Not easy to do on a mountain bike). Last big trip was from Waldorf to Gate 3 Pax River. Next time you ride lets get a group together.

Not St. Marys, but not far, try Calvert Cliffs Park. Several trails.

Almost all of Calvert Cliffs State Park has been designated a "Wilderness Area" by the Maryland Legislature. The tree huggers love it cause it means nothing is suppose to be altered in the park. The reality of it means no bicycles can be taken out on the trails. Bicycles can only be used on the gravel service road that runs fom the front of the park down to the beach.
Yes, I too have seen people on bicycles on the trails, but if you are caught you are subject to a fine and the confiscation of your bike.
Another fine example of our politicians passing feel good laws that don't do crap to help the public!!!!

The Three Notch Trail in Charlotte Hall is nice, but if you really want to bike its too short just over 3 miles from one end to the other.
