| Well, after 61 hours, our power is back on (White Plains, Billingsley Road). I think I'll shower 3 times today and watch lots o' TV! ![]()

| HURRICANE ISABEL UPDATE 10:30 a.m., Sunday, September 21, 2003 To Report Outages Call 1-877-74-SMECO Total outages: 17,900 Cause of outages: High winds, heavy rain, trees on lines, broken poles, downed lines. Calvert District Number of customers affected: approximately 2,200 - We have replaced 6 of 12 broken poles and 1 transformer. All feeders are on. Areas affected: Outages are scattered throughout the entire district. Charles/Prince George's District Number of customers affected: approximately 8,100 customers in Charles County; approximately 600 in Prince George's County - We have replaced 6 poles and restored 40 to 50 downed lines. All feeders are on. Areas affected: Outages are scattered throughout the entire district. St. Mary's District Number of customers affected: approximately 7,000 - We have restored 50 to 60 spans of wire, 12 poles, and 60 crossarms. Restoration is slow because of extensive damage to tap lines. All feeders are on. Areas affected: Outages are scattered throughout the entire district. Dry Ice Dry ice is being distributed in the following locations while supplies last: Calvert County-Prince Frederick and Solomons Island volunteer fire departments; Charles/P.G. counties-Piccowaxen School and La Plata Wal Mart, and Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department (will start between 12 and 12:30 p.m.) St. Mary's County-Ridge and Valley Lee volunteer fire departments; Chopticon High School, and California Wal Mart. SMECO is working diligently to make repairs; however, some customers may not have power restored for a few more days. In addition to SMECO and other outside personnel, assistance is now available from contractors and utilities, from areas less impacted by the hurricane, to help with the Co-op's restoration efforts.
